About Me

My name is Sara Rae Howard, and I spent more than two decades managing television newsrooms in some capacity across the South. Needless to say, I know a thing or two about loud police scanners, multitasking, and sprinting into the control room for breaking news—all while wearing four-inch heels. These days, I cherish the quiet and prefer a good pair of tennis shoes.

When I wasn’t immersed in chaos, I made a different kind of impact. For 25 years, I’ve enjoyed being a freelance photographer, capturing life’s precious moments and preserving the beauty of the world around us.

My experience has given me a unique perspective. I see things differently, I see people differently.  Behind the camera, I’m not just taking pictures; I’m preserving moments, telling visual stories that evoke lasting emotions. It’s a responsibility I take to heart.

I grew up in eastern Kentucky, where my momma taught me to be independent, and my sister, Amanda Gail, showed me the true meaning of unconditional love.

I have an adorable fur baby named Brodie Baxter Howard. He loves to sing! His favorite song, like mine, is "Oceans" by Hillsong. He’s definitely the better singer.

Laughing out loud every day keeps the child in me alive and helps ward off wrinkles... or so I wish.

I look forward to capturing your special moment.
