Hi, I’m Sara Rae Howard, the photographer behind Sara Rae Photography.​ I create bright, heartfelt photographs for families, graduating seniors, community events, private celebrations, and senior living communities throughout Central Kentucky.

​

With 25 years of photography experience and more than 20 years managing television newsrooms across the South, I’m comfortable stepping into everything from quiet family sessions to busy, fast-moving events. My background has taught me how to connect with people, anticipate meaningful moments, and pay attention to the small details that help tell the complete story of a day.

I believe everyone deserves to feel seen and every season of life deserves to be remembered. I meet people where they are in life and preserve every season with heartfelt, timeless photography.

I grew up in the mountains of eastern Kentucky, where my mom taught me the value of hard work, and my younger—but much smarter—sister, Amanda Gail, showed me what courage and strength truly mean. I also have a sweet dog named Brodie Baxter Howard, who loves to sing—especially to “Oceans” by Hillsong. He’s definitely the better singer.
