My name is Sara Rae Howard, and I’ve spent 25 years capturing memories that last a lifetime and 20 years managing television newsrooms across the South.

 

I’m a photographer, journalist, and visual storyteller with a unique perspective that helps me see people and moments differently. Every photo I take tells a story about someone’s life—a gift they can treasure—and it’s a responsibility I take to heart. Everyone has a story, and I want to tell yours.

I grew up in the mountains of eastern Kentucky, where my mom taught me the value of hard work, and my younger (but much smarter) sister, Amanda Gail, showed me what courage and strength really mean. I also have a sweet dog, Brodie Baxter Howard, who loves to sing—especially to “Oceans” by Hillsong—he’s definitely the better singer.
